Here we will explain and show you how to find what two numbers have the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) of 5500.
There is actually an infinite number of answers to this question. First, note that both the numbers we are looking for must be multiples of 5500. Below is the beginning list of multiples of 5500 (1 through 7) in numerical order.
1. 5500
2. 11000
3. 16500
4. 22000
5. 27500
6. 33000
7. 38500
etc...
Two numbers that have a GCF of 5500 can be 5500 and any other number on the list above. Thus, two numbers that have a GCF of 5500 are:
5500 & 11000
5500 & 16500
5500 & 22000
etc...
That is not all! Any combination of any multiple of 5500 and "odd" multiples of 5500 will also have GCF of 5500. We numbered the multiples above so it would be easy to identify the "odd" multiples (number 1, 3, 5, 7, etc). Thus, here are some more examples of two numbers that also have a GCF of 5500.
11000 & 16500
11000 & 27500
22000 & 27500
22000 & 38500
etc...
Like we stated above, there are infinite combinations of two numbers whose GCF is 5500. The lists we created can go on forever.
